I am an architecture student, and I have always been into doing artworks since childhood, 3 years back I started doing mandalas and since then there's no stopping back, always exploring , learning . For me mandalas are a source of relaxation and gives me immense peace , and recently I have started spreading knowledge about this art, to help people achieve happiness in their life.

Taking a good artwork photo is an indispensable part of posting on social media. Spending that extra time after finishing your art piece to photograph it well always adds to its beauty. In this workshop, you would learn many tips and techniques to photograph your artwork through the creative use of props and stationery items commonly available. I would also show you the ways to edit your photos in the free photo-editing apps.

Workshop Specific Details

  • Participants will need:
    • Your mobile phone – to photograph;
    • Artwork – to photograph;
    • Supplies used in creating the artwork(brushes, paints, pens, etc.) – to photograph;
    • Backdrop – clothes / table / wooden board /white chart paper- to photograph;
    • Install Adobe Scan and Snapseed(free app. for both iPhone and Android users) for editing the photos (optional);
    • Notebook – to take notes;
    • Pen/Pencil – to take notes;

Agenda

  • Choosing the suitable background for photographing your artwork;
  • Arranging your props inline with your art for a good composition along with different composition techniques;
  • Understanding the suitable time to photograph;
  • Camera techniques in your phone;
  • Two different free editing apps will be introduced – Adobe Scan and Snapseed;
  • Ideal Instagram size for posting pictures;
  • How to maintain an aesthetic feed on Instagram;

Other Important Points

  • The image used in promotions and workshop details cover is for representation and may or may not be the exact work taught in the workshop. In the case of arts or crafts workshops, the image used is of an original work created by the instructor unless specifically stated;
  • Participants under the age of 16 must have a parent or guardian nearby to help them out if needed;
  • You will require a laptop with a functional microphone and webcam to join the webinar. If you intend to join on your mobile, you will need to download the free Google Meet app;
  • You must have a good WiFi speed of at least 5 Mbps. A 4G connection will not suffice!
  • Process: After you have purchased your ticket, you will be sent a calendar invite for the webinar within a day. This calendar invite will be sent on the same email id as you have used while purchasing the ticket. Please do remember to RSVP! On the Friday prior to the webinar, you will be added to a WhatsApp group created for the webinar to facilitate communications;
  • Please note that Bodhiroom only refunds the ticket price in case of cancellation on part of the organiser. There is no refund in case the participant is unable to attend and no possibility of re-using the ticket for another workshop;
