Our review

The US Presidential Elections of 2020 are just around the corner with incumbent President Donald Trump up against Democratic Party nominee Joe Biden. The first debate between already happened by the time of this review and it was a spectacle. The US elections work quite differently from elections in most other democracies mainly due to the concept of the Electoral College. This great little video by the BBC explains what the Electoral College is and why it’s possible for the winner of the elections to have less of the popular vote than the loser.

Pros:

+ Really short and to the point

+ Animated well to reinforce the concept

+ Clear, well-paced narration

Cons:

– Highlighting other differences compared to parliamentary democracies would have added more color
