A passionate Bharathanatyam dancer, a book lover and an artist at heart. She believes that dance and the expressive arts have the power to move mountains and can be used to create empowering processes for people of all age-groups. Trained from CMTAI, New Delhi, Jyotsna is a CID-UNESCO certified facilitator. Holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Facilitates workshops and experiential sessions using dance and creative movement for adult, youth and children focusing on exploration, expression, self-awareness and self-discovery. Conducted sessions for organisations like Empowering Minds, UdayanCare, Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses, Umeed Rehabilitation Centre, Red FM and Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, to name a few.   • No prior experience with movement or writing required. Just a willingness to explore. Anybody who loves writing or wishes to begin writing.

    This is a unique workshop that brings together the magic of movement and creative writing. Hone your imagination, come up with ideas for writing and let your creative juices flow. Some art, some creative movements and loads of writing!

    You can expect:

    • Use of creative movement and art to access new ideas;
    • Writing that happens simultaneously;

    Workshop Specific Details

    • Participants should have:
      • A quiet space to move;
      • Writing materials – diary/notebook or your device for writing, pen/pencil;
      • Art materials – 2 blank sheets (any size, any kind), crayons/color pencils/ sketch pens (in case you don’t have any, colored pens will suffice);
      • ** Don’t let the list of materials dissuade you, get what you have and can bring along.

    Other Important Points

    • The image used in promotions and workshop details cover is for representation and may or may not be the exact work taught in the workshop. In the case of arts or crafts workshops, the image used is of an original work created by the instructor unless specifically stated;
    • You will require a laptop with a functional microphone and webcam to join the webinar. If you intend to join on your mobile, you will need to download the free Google Meet app;
    • You must have a good WiFi speed of at least 5 Mbps. A 4G connection will not suffice!
    • Process: After you have purchased your ticket, you will be sent a calendar invite for the webinar within a day. This calendar invite will be sent on the same email id as you have used while purchasing the ticket. Please do remember to RSVP! On the Friday prior to the webinar, you will be added to a WhatsApp group created for the webinar to facilitate communications;
    • Please note that Bodhiroom only refunds the ticket price in case of cancellation on part of the organiser. There is no refund in case the participant is unable to attend and no possibility of re-using the ticket for another workshop;
